Voxel size can directly influence the visualization of root fractures, presenting a positive correlation with image quality and influencing spatial and contrast resolution. This means that using these smaller-voxel protocols to detect VRF could confirm true positive cases. Indeed, the small voxel size protocols presented in this study showed significantly higher specificity. The results of this study suggest that protocols with a smaller voxel size are more accurate for VRF detection in the presence of metallic intracanal posts.
